Get ready for Mix&Mingle day in Brežice

Dear English programme students,

the November Mix & Mingle Day is approaching fast! We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Brežice!

Why Brežice

We want to show you our town, and the Brežice students are eager to meet you! Only when we all come together can we fully appreciate how different but complementary we are. The MM Day is a day of collaboration, diversity, experimentation, new friendships, and fun.

Getting there and back

A coach will be waiting for you in LJubljana Tivoli at 7:30 on Nov. 30, ready to take you to Brežice. Prof. Dr Andreja Trdina will be your escort. For details about the location of the coach, contact Madhav or Sambodhi. The same coach will take you back to Ljubljana in the evening.

Food

We are providing snacks in the FT building as soon as you arrive to Brežice, and a pizza lunch is planned for 2 pm. Snacks will also be provided later.

Classes

All classes are being held according to the official timetable. Prepare for your class as you would if it were in Ljubljana (only better! :). Brežice students will show you where the classroomas are and will be your hosts around Brežice all day long.

Guided tour

In between classes and lunch we are squeezing in a short guided tour of the two iconic Brežice sights: the medieval castle, which now holds the regional heritage museum, and the recently renovated water tower, a key feature of the Brežice skyline.

Treasure hunt

After lunch, mixed FT teams are setting off on a treasure hunt, hunting for Brežice attractions, learning about them and visiting them... as fast as possible! The teams that sweep through town the fastest and aswer all the questions correctly, win. All you need is your smartphone and your walking/running shoes 😉

Chillin'

Kick back in the MC bar with your friends after this long (but brilliant 😉 day, try your hand at a game of table tennis or fussball, and smile for the camera. See you again in May next year!
