This accessibility statement refers to the ft.um.si website. The website, published in its current graphic form on 1 July 2021, is adapted for different devices (computers, tablets, and mobile phones).

To ensure accessibility requirements, some adaptations have been systemically provided, such as:

  • The main components of the website are always in the same place,
  • responsive design (adjusting content layout to screen resolution),
  • display of content for users of assistive technologies users (for example: screen readers),

  • appropriate color contrasts (between text and background),
  • link to head to core content,
  • predictable website operation,
  • clear website navigation,
  • enabled equipping images with alternative text,
  • enabled the use of various levels of headings.

Level of compliance

The um.si website partially complies with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to the below-stated exceptions.

Inaccessible content

We are constantly monitoring the accessibility of the ft.um.si website and continuously improving individual accessibility elements. Nevertheless, some published content may not meet all accessibility requirements as set out in the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications due to a disproportionate burden. Regarding publications within the ft.um.si website, users with various forms of disability can thus not access some documents intended for a professional or narrow target public or documents that would present a disproportionate burden due to their complexity. However, at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor, we are putting forth extra effort to ensure that all our content is adapted as much as possible to potential users belonging to vulnerable groups. In the future, we will ensure that we publish documents as much as possible in an accessible format.

Examples of such content are:

  • scanned documents in PDF format,
  • documents in text format,
  • graphic elements in the form of images with captions (e.g. infographics),
  • videos,
  • various complex data tables.
