RESEARCH FIELD
In her research, Marjetka Rangus initially worked in the field of political science, especially political systems and political history, where she published several books and articles. In tourism, she investigates tourism theory, various sociological aspects of tourism (migration, employees in tourism), sustainability in tourism, and gastronomic tourism. She published her findings in articles in indexed scientific journals, such as Theory and Practice, Lex localis, Academica turistica, Contributions to Contemporary History and Informatologia, and in monographs published by national and international publishers such as Emerald, Pearson, Cambridge Scholars.

TEACHING APPROACH
In teaching tourism, students' active involvement through interactive methods, through which students actively participate in teaching and learning, is crucial. Teaching methods include many examples from practice, student seminar work in the lecture hall, gamification, role-playing, and argumentative discussion. In teaching for values, personal example, and incorporating the challenges of real-life into teaching is essential.
