It’s election time!

Candidates for members of the FT student council were revealed last week.
Vote for your candidate on Monday, November 7 (round one) between 8 am and 3 pm via um.simplyvoting.com!
Elections of 22/23 members of the Faculty of Tourism Student Council are now open. All FT students can run for office, and everyone has a voting right!
If you want your voice to be heard and shape the life of students at the Faculty, this is your chance. Contact your Personal Tutor Lect. Dr Biljana Božinovski if you need more information or would like to officially run for office (you can file your candidacy here).
About the Faculty of Tourism Student Council & Elections
At the Faculty of Tourism, students get to shape what we do! You can be involved in the daily operation of the Faculty and its strategic orientation via the Student Council. This is an autonomous FT body that consists of student representatives from each year (1, 2 and 3 + postgraduate) across all study programmes (Bachelor and Masters). As a Council Member you will represent the opinions and interests of all faculty students, and organise the programme of extracurricular activities for students.
The president of the Student Council is the Faculty’s Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and she takes part in and contributes to the meetings of the Faculty Senate, the main decision-making body of the Faculty.
Elections are held at the beginning of October each academic year. Students who would like to run for office can file their candidacy here by October 16 midnight (the form is only in Slovene but your Personal Tutor is happy to help!). Their photo and programme will be posted on the University website by November 2 for other students to see and potentially chose as the candidate they vote for.
Elections are anonymous and will be held online using the SimplyVoting platform (https://um.simplyvoting.com/) on November 7 (between 8 am and 3 pm). All Faculty of Tourism students are eligible to take a vote: every student can support up to 5 candidates.
