In my academic career, I research in the fields of sociology of ageing, sociology of family, sociology of education, social gerontology and sociology of health and disease.
I actively participated in research projects: Ekstrinzična in intrinzična religioznost v medkulturni perspektivi; Vpliv socialno-ekonomskega položaja družin in enake možnosti s predlogi ukrepov; Ustreznost indikatorjev družbene izključenosti in neenakosti v terciarnem izobraževanju; Pravičnost v izobraževanju - družbene neenakosti v izobraževanju; Družbene vrednote in postmoderna doba.
I now research in the field of social gerontology, with special regard to older adults in tourism.

My teaching philosophy includes essenceilism, perienalism, progressivism, social reconstructivism, existentialism, behaviourism, constructivism, conservatism and humanism. As a teacher, I tend to play an active role for both : student and teacher; I want to create an active learning environment
focused on active learning, to set and achieve high learning expectations, to be a community-engaged teacher, to build in the profession and to train students on how todeal with environmental change and problems, express and implement a holistic approach, active in promoting critical thinking,
supporting genuine learning experiences. I use Online learning, Experiential learning, different methods of Differentiation,
Game and Quize-based learning, Student-centred learning.
