RESEARCH FIELD
She prepares, executes and leads various projects. As a curator, art critic and lecturer, she works with several organizations, artists and galleries.
The focus of her research and publishing work is on the following:
- A holistic approach to the renovation of cultural heritage;
- Applicative development projects and sustainability;
- Museology, museum work and development;
- The role of museums in contemporary society;
- Intangible heritage: research, proposal preparation and work with heritage bearers;
- Reviews of contemporary and older art exhibitions;
- Cultural heritage and tourism;
- Collaboration of cultural tourism stakeholders (e.g. Castles of Posavje);
- Selected topics of annual international and regional conferences (ICOM, NEMO);
- Local and regional development, cultural heritage and cultural landscape;

TEACHING APPROACH
This field allows a close integration of theoretical foundations of individual disciplines whose primary focus is heritage with practical knowledge. The lecturer focuses on connecting cultural heritage with various fields, especially tourism. As a researcher and lecturer on the interconnection and interdependence of these fields, she brings to the fore interdisciplinary work, cooperation and trust in the knowledge of individual disciplines.
She focuses her professional work on the region and its development as well as a wider area, while also encouraging and inspiring others to do the same. Her primary goal is to encourage and motivate students, and to present as many best practice examples as possible. Her lectures feature various guests who present different views related to the course topics, current events and development of society.

PERSONAL DESCRIPTION
After graduating in art history, ethnology and cultural anthropology, she worked in different institutions and was involved in several projects financed through EU funds. In 2014, she was appointed the managing director of the Posavje Museum Brežice (Slovenia), second mandate till 2023.
She was awarded the professional titles of Senior Curator (2013), Museum Consultant (2018) and Ethnology Lecturer at the University of Maribor. She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism, University of Maribor. As a member of several organizing and programme committees, she is part of various scientific and professional symposiums. She is involved in a number of professional local, national and international associations, e.g. she is the chair of the Slovene Ethnological Society and a vice chair of ICOM Slovenia and the Museum Society Slovenia.
In October 2019, she was appointed the Chair of RA ICOM SEE.
