The Summer School of Good Stories: Literary, Film and Wine Tourism

The Summer School of Good Stories: Literary, Film and Wine Tourism is organised by the University of Maribor, Faculty of Tourism, in cooperation with the University of Zadar, Department of Applied Communication Studies. The programme is designed as a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), within which the Faculty of Tourism in Brežice will host international students from partner universities.

The Summer School focuses on storytelling as a key tool in contemporary tourism, with particular attention to literary, film and wine tourism. It combines academic perspectives, practical workshops and field-based experiences, while encouraging international cooperation, interdisciplinary collaboration and co-creation.

The physical part of the programme will take place at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Tourism in Brežice, Slovenia, from 23 to 29 August 2026. The virtual component includes an introductory online meeting on 20 August 2026 and a final online evaluation on 31 August 2026.
