We want to inform you that the Ordinance on how the PCT condition is met to stem the spread of infections with SARS-CoV-2 - field of education and sport of 6.9.2021 requires different PCT conditions for students.
»Students and adult learners must carry out HAG self-testing (if they do not meet the second PCT condition) to implement an educational or study program, with self-testing being carried out in a domestic environment.
The HAG self-testing tests shall be carried out once a week at the same intervals.
Those beneficiaries shall be entitled to five HAG tests for self-testing per month obtained by themselves or by the parents or legal representatives at the pharmacy after the presentation of the health insurance card or after the presentation of the school certificate. If the person is a foreigner and does not have a health insurance card, they submit a school certificate and an ID. Suppose the person is a student, a participant in adult education, a participant in sports programs or recreational sports activities, he shall also provide a certificate of education and an identity document or a certificate of participation in sports programmes or sports recreational activities in addition to the health insurance card.
If a person already meets the PCT condition, it is unnecessary to carry out HAG testing for self-testing.
In case of a positive result, the tested person informs the personal physician who referred him for confirmation by PCT method. In the event of a suspected or confirmed case of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection in the educational institution, the management of the institute shall comply with the instructions of the National Institute of Public Health."

Pursuant to the provisions of the Ordinance laying down temporary conditions for the exercise of activities in education and higher education (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 132/2021), all persons coming to educational establishments over the age of 15 must comply with the condition of recovering the disease, vaccination or testing, as evidenced by the evidence provided for in the Ordinance governing interim measures to reduce the risk of infection and spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
Therefore, when entering the Faculty (taking the exam, visiting student affairs office…) you must have met the previous mentioned conditions.
Kind regards,

SUPPLEMENT 27.8.2021:
At yesterday's meeting, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a Decree amending and supplementing the Ordinance laying down temporary conditions for the implementation of activities in education and higher education, which will be published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Slovenia. The validity of the Decree is extended until, and including, 5 September 2021. The amendments shall take effect on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Slovenia.
The amendment refers to the second paragraph of Article 2 of the Ordinance, which provides for weekly testing for persons referred to in Article 1 of the Ordinance. Weekly testing obligation is also added for students. For students, weekly testing is also funded by the state budget. This prolongs the validity of the PCT measure in higher education institutions. The Government of the Republic of Slovenia has agreed that all students who have not been over COVID-19 or have not been vaccinated against infection should be subjected to free testing and the test will be valid for 1 week.
We would like to inform all you that current information on entry into Slovenia and PCT conditions has been published on the link Police - Crossing the state border during the coronavirus epidemic.

Being lucky to get picked up from the airport by the Dean and getting all help to overcome all the obstacles, all the members of FT Team work with their heart and serve such great hospitality to the international students.
Lectures are divided into two parts, main lecture and tutorials, even if you miss the main lecture, never miss the tutorials. The course is more practically oriented not just theoretical, and that's what I love the most.
Studying in Slovenia was entirely a different experience for me. Unlike the common study destinations, Slovenia is a unique country for international students. Slovenia and FT UM will be always in my heart, “The Home Away from Home”.
My studies at the FT UM taught me about the importance of responsible and sustainable management and planning of tourist destinations. I think that the faculty is highly qualified to teach in the area of green and environmentally-friendly tourism and has outstanding experts, while Slovenia is the best place to see the results of such organising and efforts.
I would like to use what I have learned at FT UM to help improve results in this area in Serbia and to increase awareness of the importance of this approach among young people, especially those who want to be actively involved in tourism.
Collaboration with professors and teaching assistants (participation in international conferences) was also important for my subsequent academic work. They offered me several opportunities to write research papers on tourism which were received with acclaim.
I was a student in my second year of graduate master's study, I stayed for 6 unforgettable months. I had the opportunity to meet new people from Europe and the world and exchange experiences, learn about other customs and cultures.
Erasmus+ coordinator at Faculty of Tourism was very kind, available at all times and willing to help. I am sure to take advantage of this unforgettable opportunity that will surely change your perception of your life.
My studies at FT UM turned out to be deeper than I expected. All professors provide extensive coverage of their subjects. Learning is not easy, but it only grows the desire to learn new things.
I am very happy with the opportunity to study online as I am not currently in Slovenia. All classes are perfectly organized, professors instruct in detail about the tasks for the semester, provide all the necessary materials for studies, and conduct classes in an involving way. Therefore, we should only absorb knowledge.
