FT students in Lapland

Our students have recently returned from Lapland, specifically Rovaniemi in northern Finland, where they participated in an exchange program as part of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs, in collaboration with Lapland UAS (Lapland University of Applied sciences) and Universita Autonoma de Barcelona.

The program and online meetings began in January. Students from all three universities attended lectures on experience design, guest segmentation, and events. In addition to listening to lectures and learning theory, they quickly began to design events, which they carried out during the mobility week in Rovaniemi as part of the Arctic Design Week event, which Lapland UAS has been involved with for eight years.

The students designed the following events for ADW:

  • Design Your Dreams (children's event);
  • Arctic Immersion Event (presentation of various themes of life in the Arctic Circle);
  • Final dinner Together (at the Ice Hotel);
  • Better Design With Sustainable Fashion Event (creative workshops and clothing exchange).

This was certainly a great new international experience for our students to gain new knowledge, competencies, and friendships.
