As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University of Maribor, December marks the beginning of the Faculty of Tourism Week, during which we open our doors and welcome you to the new premises of our faculty at Trg izgnancev 1.

One of the highlight events of the week will be an evening conversation with Mr Miha Istenič, a representative of the second generation of the renowned Istenič sparkling wine house and one of the key creators of the sparkling-wine tradition in Slovenija. The conversation will be moderated by Dr Jasna Potočnik Topler.

Together, we will explore:

✨ the story of the Istenič family brand
✨ the wines of the Istenič family and the world of sparkling wines
✨ wine tourism
✨ wine culture and personal stories from over 50 years of tradition

The event is open to students, alumni, staff, wine lovers, and the local community.

Following the conversation, you are invited to enjoy a glass of bubbles, engage in relaxed conversation, and take a look around the faculty’s new premises.
